Logo + Secure Icon = Trust
Each authenticated email is marked with Brandmail Solutions "Secure
Icon" and the sender’s logo - our guarantee that the email is genuine and
unaltered. Your customers can trust that the presence of our secure icon
and your logo demonstrates that your message is authentic.
Protecting Sender’s Reputation
Brandmail Solutions partners with ISPs to authenticate email originating
from senders using the Brandmail Solutions SbS2.0™ service. For genuine
email, our Secure Icon and the sender’s Logo are rendered on the
email. However, if the end-to-end authentication fails, the email is discarded
immediately, so as not to deliver potentially dangerous email. Because
of this, Brandmail Solutions can prevent any email that spoofs our senders'
domains from being delivered at our partner ISPs.
Message Signing Standards
The SbS2.0™ System can be configured to use either the Internet Standard
"Domain Keys Identified Mail" (DKIM) or the pre-standard "Domain
Keys" DKIM is a very powerful standard co-developed by Cisco Systems
and Yahoo! to combat the rise of spam and phishing attacks. Domain
Keys was developed by Yahoo! and was later merged with Cisco Systems'
Internet Identified Mail to form DKIM. By providing Domain Keys support,
the SbS2.0™ System supports the widest variety of senders possible.
Brandmail implementation Options
Brandmail Solutions provides a DKIM signing agent (the Brandmail Writer)
that can be installed in the existing email infrastructure when the sender does
not have DKIM capabilities. Since the Brandmail Writer shares information
with other parts of the SbS2.0™ system, there are advantages in using a
Brandmail Writer. While the discussion of these advantages is beyond the
scope of this paper, suffice it to say that the SbS2.0™ system is fully interoperable
with any other DKIM writer as implemented in the various MTAs that
are available.
